THE LUCKNOW ZOO HAS PUT MORE THAN 1000 ANIMALS UP FOR ADOPTION

The Corona Virus pandemic has affected everyone, including the inmates of the Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden in Lucknow. Even though the zoo has opened post Lockdown, there are not enough walk-ins and ticket sales, leading to a cash crunch at the zoo. The authorities are now requesting citizens to come forward to adopt the different animals at the zoo, by sponsoring their upkeep.

Birds, mammals, reptiles – you can choose from all the animals you’ve ever seen at the zoo. Or you can help in the maintenance and upkeep of the Aquarium or Butterfly Park at the zoo.

The zoo authorities have released the sponsorship amount for different animals on a half-yearly or annual basis. For instance, you can take care of three birds for six months by making a one-time contribution of ₹5000. If you can shell out more money, adopt the tiger and white tiger at the zoo at the rate of ₹3,40,000 for a period of six months.

WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN IS:
> Your name outside the cage of the animal you have adopted
> You can avail a tax rebate on your donation to the zoo
> You are entitled to an Annual Zoo Pass in lieu of your contribution
> And a certificate by the zoo acknowledging you contribution
