Main Akhandini – a musical theatrical presentation in Hindi that tells the untold stories of the women characters of Indian epics like the Ramayan and Mahabharata is back on stage this weekend. With an all-women ensemble cast of amateur actors, the play was first staged in Lucknow in March, 2018, and was a total hit with the audience. On popular demand, the play is back on August 8, 2018. So, if you missed it the first time round, don’t now.
The play is rich in visual imagery, original soundtrack and lyrical dialogues that compel you to think outside the box.
WHEN & WHERE
‘Main Akhandini’ will be staged on Saturday, August 8, 2018 at 7.30 pm, at Sangeet Narak Akademi, Gomti Nagar (opposite Fun Mall). The play is 1.5 hours in duration.
