A popular picnic spot once, the Kukrail Reserve Forest isn’t visited as much these days. But if you take our word for it, it still is an oasis of greenery in the middle of the city.
WHAT TO EXPECT
> Lots of greenery: The Kukrail Reserve Forest is a dense forest, with a stream running through it. You can take the walking pathways to explore the forest. There is a beautiful Rose Garden that blooms in the winters, situated 100 meters from the entrance. Breathe in the fragrance while you enjoy the sight.
> Wildlife: Kukrail is also the breeding park for alligators and crocodiles. So if wildlife is your thing, go have a look at the reptiles lazing in the sun! Different species of birds and turtles are also found here.
> Children’s park: There is also a big park with benches and swings for children, not too many though. That’s the spot you need to head to for a picnic. Make sure to carry your picnic basket with you.
