The first phase of the nationwide COVID vaccination drive was successfully held in Lucknow today. The government has identified 61 COVID Vaccination Centres in Lucknow, and one of the centres for the drive was T.S Misra Super-Speciality Hospital, where the entire team of doctors and paramedical staff received the first dose of the vaccine.
The T.S. Misra Super Specialty Hospital is located near Amausi Railway station, just 5 kms from the Amausi Airport.
The hospital conducted a successful dry run for the vaccine on 12thJanuary, 2021, preparing itself for the first phase of the vaccination drive for all doctors and paramedical staff. The second phase is expected to include employees of the Municipal Corporation, Armed Forces and the Police. The third phase will cater to those above 50 years of age. Details for subsequent phases are yet to be announced by the Government.
Situated right next to TSM Medical College, the T.S. Misra Hospital is a super-specialty hospital with state-of-the-art health care services, equipped with molecular laboratories. It also has its own IVF centre and Cardiac Catheterization lab.
The hospital is equipped with 14 modular operation theatres, an 80-bed ICU wing with 60 ventilators and 700 regular beds and a staff of over 200 qualified doctors and 400 nursing and paramedical staff.
The T.S. Misra Medical College is the only medical college in Lucknow to be accredited by NABH (Quality Council of India), and the TSM Hospital claims to have successfully treated COVID patients with a recovery rate of 96% last year.
