A food truck with rooftop seating in Lucknow. Yes, you heard that right. This super cool food truck is called Lawrence Junction, and you will find it in Ashiyana .
IDEA + DESIGN
The street where the truck is parked is full of food trucks and stalls but Lawrence Junction manages to stand out because of its off beat design. It was started by Akanksha Lawrence, a Hotel Management graduate, who quit her job in the hotel industry to start something of her own.
The rooftop of the truck is decorated with faux grass, some colourful chairs and drum tables It can accommodate 4-6 people at one time. The outside of the truck looks like a train engine, as Akanksha’s father use to be a train pilot and she got the truck built in in his memory.
WHAT’S ON THE MENU
The menu is short and simple but delicious, with a mix of international and desi cuisine. Pita pockets, wraps, pastas and Maggie are some of the dishes on the menu. There are options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
The place seems like a cute hangout spot for a sunny winter afternoon.
Cost for a meal for two: Rs.250 approx.
