Anyone who’s lived in the Lucknow of the 70s and 80s, can’t stop telling you tales of times spent at Kwality Restaurant, which used to be the ‘it’ place to go to at that time. Located in Hazratganj, near Mayfair theatre, the restaurant served some of the best food and bakery items. Well, the same Kwality is retailing its bakery and confectionery items after 15 years, and nostalgia-diggers can say yay.
THE SIGNATURE DISHES
The once-famous Chicken Patty is back and is as tasty as before.
The Lemon Puff – a pastry puff topped with cream and lemon jam – is as unique as it used to be. it’s priced at Rs. 45 a piece. The Singapuri pastry (Rs. 50 a piece) is interesting too.
The Special Dryfruit Pudding is also on the menu, as are the lemon tarts.
We also enjoyed their Paneer Tikka sandwich (Rs. 70).
