Come summer and this shop witnesses throngs of people visiting it for breezy, export quality summer fabrics. They have a wide collection of pure cotton and cotton blends. We love their floral prints – perfect to make a summer dress. They also have some lovely prints for children’s night suits. And the best part of it all, most of the fabrics have a width of 90″, which is great for making cotton bedsheets.

A store for all the fashionistas of the city, this is a designer’s paradise. They also house surface manipulated chanderi and tissue fabrics for making formal evening wear dresses. Then they also have a counter dedicated to colourful dupattas in rich brocades and khaddi fabrics. NOVELTY CLOTH CENTRE
Have a wedding in the family and want a traditional outfit? Head to Novelty, one of the oldest shops in the city for fabrics and dress materials. They have a wide choice in Indian formal wear fabrics with all kinds of party fabrics available – with embroidery, sequins, lace, gotapatti, zardozi etc. But we absolutely love the collection of gharara fabrics. From subtle summer tones like mauves and lilacs to brighter ones like corals and peaches, the fabrics themselves are simply gorgeous! Lastly, this decades old shop in the basement of the famous Janpath market has one of the funnest collection of prints.
