When it comes to Aloo Tikki, there are so many places on our list, we thought we’d do it in two parts. Enjoy the typically Lakhnawi Aloo Tikki, which is all potato, no filling of peas and such, at the following places:
IN & AROUND HAZRATGANJ
1. ROYAL CAFE
This place brings back memories of family lunches and dinners, so why not make new ones while trying their Aloo Tikki Chaat with sauth ki chutney, dahi and anardana. The Hazratganj outlet is the most roomy place to have chaat in the area, and perhaps, the most preferred too!

2. KING OF CHAAT
This chaat shop has its loyal following, including the famous Bachchan family! So if you want to have tikkis at a place that the rich and famous go to, this is the one. A small stall on the pavement opposite the DM office, the place has a small outdoor seating area too.

3. SHUKLA CHAAT HOUSE
One of the most popular eateries in Lucknow, this has been Kangana Ranaut’s favourite chaat shop while she was shooting in Lucknow for Tanu Weds Manu part 2. We pretty much love everything they dish out, but especially the aloo tikki chaat. It’s a tiny stall off the main Hazratganj road, so prepare to wait on a narrow pavement for your turn to be served. The wait is worth it.

4. JAIN CHAAT BHANDAR
A small chaat shop near MGS Novelty cinemas, this one has been gaining popularity with every year. Most preferred for takeaway.

5. RADHEY LAL PARAMPARA
This shop is best known for their mithais, but their chaat has a huge fan-following as well. Try their aloo tikkis too. No seating available here, but you will find space to stand and enjoy the chaat.

IN SADAR BAZAAR
1. CHHAPPAN BHOG
This shop doesn’t need any introduction. Their deep-fried aloo tikkis prepared in shudh desi ghee are big-sized and very filling. No seating available here either. The evenings are crowded at this small shop, but if you want the richness of Chhappan Bhog delicacies, this is the place to go to!
