Of India store – Tribes India in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, where you will find exquisite pieces of art, handloom, jewellery and clothing by different tribes from across the country.
Tribes India aims at promoting development of tribes in India by marketing their products in not just domestic but also international markets, to improve their standard of living and growth. The store in Lucknow is well-stocked and organized, with lots of things that we’d love to pick up – from classic sarees, blazers and shirts to metal crafts, longpi pottery and so much more. All the products there are hand crafted and hand made. For some the store might be a little overpriced, but we feel the finish and quality is worth every penny.
WHAT
Textiles: Bedcovers and bedsheets in solid colours, quirky prints and embroidery, handmade by tribal artisans from all over the country. Elegant sarees in silk, cotton, chanderi, Maheshwari etc. ar part of their collection. What we liked the most was the collection of shirts as the quality and print was top notch. Blazers, suit fabrics, kurtas, Nehru jackets are some more clothing pieces for men that you can shop from here.
Prices: Rs. 600 to 12,000
Pottery and metal craft: Sturdy mugs, jugs and kettles made of clay are available at reasonable prices, they look extremely vintage. Pick up Gond art work for the walls. Buy trendy jewellery pieces from the tribes of Nagaland, Mizoram, Jharkhan and Odisha in bead work, dokra, silver.

Organic products: Pulses, spices, rice, poha and honey – all organically produced are available here.
