People living in Chander Nagar, Alambagh and around swear by Satte ki biryani. Yet, the rest of Lucknow has not taken to this biryani like it has to Idrees, Lalla or Wahid. But Some 40 years old, Satte’s Biryani Corner serves the regular non-vegetarian fare that you will find at most places in Lucknow, but it’s their mutton biryani served with raita that’s made this place famous.
The biryani here looks nothing like what you will find in the rest of the city. There is no food colouring added to the rice here. In fact, the basmati rice used for the biryani is of a really good quality. The mutton in the biryani is melt-in-your-mouth soft.
There is a seating area inside the restaurant, however, take-away is preferable.
BEST TIME TO GO
Satte’s Biryani Corner is open from 12 noon to 10 p.m. However, the biryani sells out fast. Reach before 8.30 p.m. to make sure you don’t have to return empty-handed.
