Imagine old world charm mixed with modern art. Welcome to the Tasveer Wali Gali in Aminabad, Lucknow – a narrow lane with some 15 shops, dedicated to framing your art works, photographs, certificates, and whatever else you can think of. You can also pick up framed prints and handmade art for your house from here. Earlier, you would only find pictures of Gods and Quranic verses being sold here. However, now the shops here also sell affordable modern art, metallic sheet art, fancy paintings, thread work art, canvas paintings – all framed and on display for sale.

GANGA PAHALWAN TASVEER WALE
A 56-years-old shop where a variety of pre-framed art pieces (starting at Rs.250) are sold – Bamboo art, intricate thread work art, Metallic Sheet art, 3D posters, abstract art and religious posters. What we really like about this place though is that you can get anything framed from here in a day (starting at Rs.120)! A single framed piece is generally prepared in two hours time, and double framing takes a day. Fancy fibre frames in more than 50 colours are available here.
GUPTA PICTURE HOUSE
A well known shop in this gali, you can choose from around 4000 plus designs of fibre frames here, starting at Rs.10 per feet and going up to Rs. 500 per feet. Their specialty is wooden framing. You can buy Tile art, paintings on canvas and silk, rubber on canvas and other varieties of art works.
