If you read your labels properly, you must have come across words like ‘natural flavorings, essence and extracts’. How are they different from each other?
EXTRACT: It takes a special process to extract elements from raw materials into a liquid mixture to give you the pure ‘extract’ for use; for example, ‘vanilla extract’. Nothing else is added to an extract which makes it pure.
NATURAL FLAVORING: A natural flavoring is made from extracts and natural substances mixed together in a particular formula to get the required taste.
ESSENCE: ‘Essence’ is the manufacturing of flavors from early years. It could be anything manufactured to add desired flavor to your food.

“So, I bake fresh desserts daily. People have a really good opportunity of trying the stuff on per piece basis. This helps people to taste the product with its quality and also helps them place their orders. Of course, whatever I bake is available in per kg rates too,” says Himani.
