A Change of Venue

Unlike the previous four Davis Cup ties in Lucknow, which were played on the grass courts of the Oudh Gymkhana Club, this time, the action will unfold at the Vijayant Khand Stadium.

World Group-II Competition

The Davis Cup World Group-II features 24 national teams battling it out for supremacy. The stakes are high, with the 12 winning teams advancing to the World Group-I playoffs, while the losers will have to compete in the World Group-II playoffs. This makes every match crucial, as teams vie for a chance to move up the ladder in Davis Cup glory.

The Davis Cup Format

A Davis Cup tie consists of five matches: four singles and one doubles match. The team that secures victory in at least three of these matches will clinch the tie. It’s a format that demands both singles and doubles prowess, making every player’s contribution vital to their team’s success.

Meet Team India

India will be represented by a talented lineup featuring Sumit Nagal, Sasikumar Mukund, Digvijay Pratap Singh, Rohan Bopanna, Yuki Bhambri, and Ramkumar Ramanathan. The team will be under the leadership of Captain Rohit Rajpal and coached by Zeeshan Ali. With such a skilled and experienced squad, Indian tennis fans have high hopes for their team’s performance.
