For so many of us who miss their ‘maa ke haath ke pakwan’, or don’t have the time or inclination to make mathi and laddoos at home, there’s Mom Made by Manokamna – a charming little venture of sweets and savories run by Manju Jalota in Lucknow. Honestly, they had us at ‘Mom Made’! Going through Manokamna’s menu alone, feels like a nostalgic ride that leaves you drooling as you read each item.
ON THE MENU
The menu is crisp, just like all the namkeens! There are different types of Mathis (starting at Rs.90 for 250gms) – Methi, Achari, Til, Plain, Multigrain. And Namak and Shakar Paras (starting at Rs.80 for 250gms), low cal Chiwda, Sankhein and mini Khasta and Samosas .
Besan and Atta Ladoos, Panjiri and Pinni (winter favourites) are on the menu too.
They also do wedding bhaajis, as per your specifications. We promise, your guests will love the taste.
WHY CHOOSE GOODIES BY ‘MOM MADE’?
If you’re still thinking, why should I buy from Mom Made when there’s similar stuff available at the mithai shop near you, here’s the answer: because their food is literally as close to homemade goodies that we have tasted. Store bought namkeen tends to be heavy, and there’s always that doubt about what kind of oil or medium it’s cooked in. But under Manju Aunty’s guidance and her all-women team, you will only get ‘ghar wala swaad’.
All the goodies come in air tight, lightweight containers. So great for carrying with you if you are travelling.
