One Awadh Center in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow has a wide collection of brands for serious shoppers, a play area for children, a cineplex for movie-goers and a food court at the mall, called The Food Street. To make the food court experience hassle free, transactions in any food kiosk are done using a prepaid food card that is available from the counter. Also, if you have any balance amount left in the card, it will be refunded. Easy-peasy!
In the last year or so, they’ve added at least three new outlets, which is great news for us foodies! Here is what you can expect to find at The Food Street:
Tim Bucks Two: Tim Bucks Two used to be a food truck, before it made it to the Food Street. It serves a mix of Italian, Mexican and Lebanese cuisine. So that is your pasta, quesadilla and shawarma all at one outlet. And they are all yum!
Barcelos (Restaurant): This is a sit-down, proper dining restaurant at the food court that specializes in Mexican and Spanish cuisine. Plenty of dishes to choose from.
Vaango: Head straight here for a quick dosa or perhaps an idli sambhar combination on the go. Service is quick and portion size is pretty generous.
Must have: Masala Dosa
Chinese Kitchen: Best described as desi Chinese, the kiosk has a wide menu. Many different combos are available too. However, because of its demand, orders may take a wee bit longer to be completed.
Must have: Vegetable Momos with the hot garlic sauce (seriously hot)
Bombay Pav Bhaji: Known for the Pav Bhaji, of course, the joint has other snack-y items as well.
Must have: The Pav Bhaji of course, in all it’s butter-y goodness!
Sethu’s: If you are craving for your favourite North Indian meal, head straight here. Many combo-meals available.
Sagar Ratna: Serves your favourite south Indian meals like dosa, idli, medu wada etc. along with some dishes from north Indian cuisine as well.
Lucknowi: For quintessentially Lakhnawi cuisine, head here. Different types of kebabs, chicken tikka, paneer dishes are available. Also available are veg kebabs and veg. biryani, but they are known best for their non-veg fare!
Must have: Non-vegetarian food
The Chocolate Room: TCR has a small outlet to satisfy all your chocolaty needs on a shopping spree. A variety of shakes and sandwiches make for a good meal between meals.
Must have: Waffle Shake
Twisted: This kiosk serves some of the most popular street food delicacies from across the country. You can expect to find aloo tikki, basket chaat, vada pav etc.
Pizza Hut: Among the pioneers of pizza places, Pizza Hut has almost their entire menu available at their kiosk here.
KFC: Nothing like KFC to satisfy that fried chicken craving. Choose from burgers, fries, rice meals or just the good old chicken wings!
Subway: For the health conscious, this is a great option. Healthy veggies, freshly baked bread and choice of protein, a foot-long sub or salad, this place needs no introduction.
Scoopers Cream Bell: Nothing like ice-cream to culminate a good shopping day. Choose your favourite ice cream scoop, in a cup or cone and add a generous drizzle of hot chocolate
