FOOD COURT SERIES: THE BEST OF LUCKNOW FOOD AT SAHARA GANJ MALL

The oldest shopping mall in Lucknow, Sahara Ganj has underwent a makeover some time back, and now houses many international brands. Thankfully, the mall boasts of a great food court as well. The food court has many options to choose from, has more than ample seating and a relaxed vibe to it. Still, on weekends you may find that there’s a waiting for the seating at the food court.

They have added some new eateries to the food court recently, like Jux Pux, but the old ones continue to woo the hungry. Here’s what you can expect at this food court:

Jux Pux: A pocket-friendly outlet for street food, Jux Pux has quite an extensive menu to choose from. Some of the popular dishes are pastas, Potato Tornado, Seekh Kebab Sub and Mac n Cheese.

Vegetariya: As the name suggests, this outlet dishes up some yummy vegetarian food, and their Thali is very popular.

Dosa Plaza: A dosa heaven, Dosa Plaza offers varieties of dosa, with their Cheese Dosa being our favourite.

Royal Café: The popular restaurant has a kiosk at the food court that serves its best-known delicacies. So whether you are craving for some chaat between meals or perhaps you prefer Butter Chicken and lachcha paratha for lunch, then this is the best option.
Must have: Butter Chicken

Grandson of Tunday Kababi: For when you crave the quintessential galouti kebabs, head straight to the kiosk of Tunday Kababi. This is the only food court in Lucknow where you will find a Tunday outlet, so make the most of it.
Must have: Kebab paratha roll

Lucknowi: Our go-to for great non-veg food. Their vegetarian selection of Indian cuisine is also good.
Must-try: Chicken Shawarma roll

Berco’s: Known for its Chinese and Thai cuisine, the Berco’s outlet is popular among college-goers. The food is a little on the spicier side but that makes it even more delicious. Great value for money too, as the serving portion is pretty generous. They also have a number of combo meals to choose from.
Must have: Veg Dimsums and Chilli Garlic Hakka Noodles

Vaango: For those looking for a quick South Indian meal on the go, this kiosk is your go-to. Though the main protagonist of this joint is the dosa and its many variants, there are also other popular dishes like idli, uttapam and medhu vada available.
Must have: Masala Dosa and Lemonade

Vostok: This kiosk is for those who want their quick bite to be exactly that – quick. Vostok has a number of popular snack items and beverages to choose from. Besides the everyday coffees, they also have ice cream shakes, fresh fruit juices, ice tea options to choose from as well as ice cream sundaes.
Must have: Bombay Sandwich

Chinese Kitchen: Nothing like Desi Chinese on the go. For a kiosk, the menu is pretty wide and includes starters like momos and soups, main course like rice and noodles and some interesting combos.

Bombay Pav Bhaji: Along with pav bhaji, the kiosk has other quick bites like spring rolls, paneer chilli gravy and rice among other snacks.

Domino’s Pizza: Domino’s is your answer for your cheesy cheese and pizza cravings.

U.S. Pizza: If you want to experiment and try a different brand for pizza, then U.S. Pizza is a good option.

McDonald’s: Though the popular burger chain has winded up operations on the ground floor at Sahara Ganj, they still operate from a small outlet in the food court, where they mainly serve desserts like soft serves, ice creams and shakes.

Scoopers Cream Bell and Kwality Walls: Finish off your perfect shopping day with a scoop of your favourite ice cream flavour.
