If you’re in Lucknow, and haven’t enjoyed paan, you haven’t tasted everything that the City of Nawabs has to offer. And then, try some of the variations of the traditional paan at Agarwal Nawabi Paan Shop. The paan shop is also known as the Ghanta Wala paan shop because every time Manoj Agarwal, the owner of the stall, sells a paan, he rings a bell. And if the customer likes the paan, you can ring the bell too.
WHAT
This is not an old shop, and was established only in 2005, and sells Chocolate (below), Mango, Malai, and Lollipop Paan starting at Rs. 35. All of them are layered with chuna, kattha, sweet chutney, grated coconut, saunf, supari, apart from the flavour of your choice, and finally decorated with silver warq. You will be surprised to know that he has frozen paan too, which consumers can stock upto 2 to 3 months! Cool, right? But wait, they also have Fire and Ice Paan! Can’t wait to ring the bell!
MUST -TRY
The Gulab Jamun Paan (Rs. 50). The shop claims he’s never sold a single piece to one customer – if you have one, you will want more.
