Central – The Lounge Cafe is what we call an oasis in the middle of a dessert. The rooftop cafe-restaurant is part of a brand new hotel, Hotel V. Located in the middle of the busy Shivaji Marg, or Hewett Road, Hotel V has tastefully done-up rooms, with all the modern amenities you could ask for, at affordable rates. Their lounge cafe is a great place for youngsters in this part of the city to enjoy their time out with friends. Also for people who have their shops in the vicinity, this place is ideal to take business associates for an impressive lunch or coffee.
WHAT WE LOVE
The ambience. The outdoor terrace seating for hookah lovers, and the plush indoors with leather upholstery and bare wood tables. The warm lighting makes this place so welcoming. This is a great place for hosting parties as well, or for a dash of newness to your kitty party circle.
THE MENU
They’ve got a multi-cuisine menu that includes quick bites, like sandwiches and oh-so-yummy pizzas (Rs. 225), a Chinese menu (Rs. 210 to Rs. 340) that’s a winner, a variety of pastas (Rs. 250 for a plate) and a great selection of Indian dishes (priced between Rs. 185 and Rs. 425), with a lot of flavour packed into them. Which is why we think this is a great place for families, where everyone can choose to eat what they like! The kids can have their pizzas and pastas, and the elders can enjoy their naan and daal-makhani or chicken tikka.
