The Cherry Tree Café completes 10 years today and we thought it would be a perfect occasion to remind ourselves of the 10 things we absolutely love about the café:
The Menu
We all have our favourite orders at The Cherry Tree Café – whether its their signature pizza and pasta or the comforting Mac n Cheese. We love the Sandwiches and Jamaican Jerk chicken. Can’t miss to mention – their coffees! But two things that need a special mention with regard to food and menu at TCT: 1. it is always fresh and 2. the menu keeps evolving with seasons and its changing moods.
The Green Outdoors
We love the outdoors at The Cherry Tree Cafe. Covered with a variety of plants, wooden tables, fairy lights and bulb strings make it a pretty setting to hangout. Such an Instagrammable setting. The place is perfect to host parties on your special occasions as well.
The Scribbled Tables & Laid-Back Vibe
We love the quaint little indoors perfect for some lift-me-up coffee gupshup with a friend. I’m sure you all must have noticed the scribbled tables at TCT and perhaps scribbled on them yourself! It gives the place a college canteen vibe, the kind of place where you can just chill! No wonder, this café feels like a perfect hangout spot to catch up with friends.
Homegrown Brand
Even though Cherry Tree is a café with international tastes for both food and décor, we love the fact that its of 100% shudh desi Lucknowi origin. Niyati and Vishal Tajpuriya started off as home-bakers and soon expanded the menu, which eventually gave way to the opening of the café. Today, it is one of the ‘must-visit’ places in Lucknow.
The Location
Nestled in part of an old Lucknowi haveli, this modern café sits in the heart of Lucknow – Hazratganj. And yet a little off the main road to avoid the hustle bustle of the city’s busiest roads. ‘Ganjing’ is not complete without a stop at this café!
Cakes
You enter this café to a huge shelf on your right lined up with freshly baked cakes and pastries. You’ve decided on your dessert even before taking a seat! Can’t blame you, the cakes are amazing! The Cherry Tree was started by a baker and the passion for baking remains. They do all kinds of cakes on all kinds of requests! So yes, they do literally take the cake when it comes to be best cakes in town!
Breads, Cookies and Desserts
Apart from the café food and cakes, they bake some amazing variety of fresh and crisp breads – multigrain, brown, garlic etc, sweet and savory cookies and yummy handmade chocolates. One can’t help but indulge to get spoiled!
Gift Hampers
When there’s a festive occasion like Diwali, Eid, Christmas or Holi, we know we can just drop in at TCT for some innovative hampers that includes a mix of freshly baked goodies and other packaged foods. Or even if we just need to pick up something nice before heading to a friend’s place for dinner, they are great saviors for those last-minute requirements.
Friendly Staff
The customer experience at restaurants, cafes and hotels is everything! And the reason why people keep returning to The Cherry Tree Cafe is that – the courteous and ever-smiling staff, ready to help us with orders and recommendations when asked.
The DIY Kits
Looking at the post COVID situation in 2020, The Cherry Tree Cafe introduced DIY Pizza, Pasta and Salad kits that made life a whole lot delicious and easy for us! Their sauces all freshly-made in-house, and they use the freshest ingredients for all their kits. Must-try!
