Ritz Continental, Sapru Marg, Lucknow is re-opening after a long hiatus, with charming interiors for their restaurant, separate chaat and mocktail corners, and of course, the mithai shop. NL takes a sneak peak at what’s in store:
What’s New
Everything – from the sign board to the interiors and the menu. The restaurant, with drop-down lights, lots of green and geometric designs has a contemporary feel. The seating arrangement is such that it caters to a large group as well as provides a half-private area for those looking for some privacy.
What we are most excited about is a dedicated Chaat corner and Mocktail Corner in the outdoor area. The Chaat Adda has all your classic chaat favourites – basket chaat, aloo tikki, dahi and pani batashe, papdi and bhalla chaat etc.
An elaborate mocktail menu means you no longer have to rely on Fresh Lime only while eating at a pure vegetarian restaurant, and can choose from Passion Fruit, Mango Madness and Kiwi mocktails, flavoured Lassis, Strawberry Iced Tea, Choco Mocha, Brownie, Irish & Strawberry Frappes Green Apple, Litchi and Vanilla Shakes. Phew! So many options! They also have a huge variety of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, if you prefer your beverage hot.
Keeping the Legacy Alive
The revamped eatery is going to continue serving delicious, vegetarian food that draws on Ritz’s legacy of being in the food business for over four decades.
“Our mantra is to retain the quality Ritz Continental is known for, while adapting ourselves to appeal to the modern sensibilities, ” says Shivani Khanna, co-owner, who wants to maintain the high standards set by their founder, late B.S. Khanna.
