CHHAPPAN BHOG
Khoya, Nariyal, Kaju, Pista, Kaju Kesar, Khoya Kesar, Choco Mewa, Besan Mewa, Rice Modak… the list goes on. Chhappan Bhog makes is selling 12 types of modaks this year, with the Anjeer modak being our favourite (₹1600 per kg). Want to try more than one Modak? Go for the Modak Thal. The modaks are on the smaller side and literally melt in your mouth. Modaks are available from a couple of days before Ganesh Chaturthi, till the last day of the Ganesh Utsav. You can also order their modals online, which works great in the post-Corona Lucknow.

RADHEY LAL’S PARAMPARA SWEETS
Parampara is making four kinds of modaks this year – Besan, Khoya, Boondi and Mewa. The modaks are available from a day before Ganesh Chaturthi to the day of the visarjan.

At Ram Asrey, you will find modaks in five flavours – Kaju, Pista, Badam, Besan and Mewa. Since the demand is slow this year, they will make other flavours on order. The modaks are just the right amount of sweet and are a delight for your palate – no wonder they sell out super quick!

CLASSIC RADHEY SWEETS
At Classic, choose from from modals in Khoya, Boondi, Nariyal and Besan (₹640/kg). In the premium range, there’s Anjeer and Kaju Modak, which retails for ₹1200/kg. Ganpati’s favourite sweets are available here during all the days of the festival.

THE HAZELNUT FACTORY
The bakery/mithai shop has introduced three varieties of modaks for the first time at their Nirala Nagar outlet: Moong Dal, Plain and Kesar Modak. We are waiting to try their moong dal modaks ourselves.
