Even if you have nowhere to take a bus to, a look at the Kaiser Bagh Bus Station is recommended for every Lucknowite. A first-of-its-kind in the state, the bus station can give the Amausi airport a run for its money! The bus stand sees an average of 15,000 commuters a day. There are 14 bays or terminals for the buses and each terminal has its own gate. From solar panels to ATMs to even a shopping arcade, this bus stop has it all. Here’s what we like about it:
FULLY AIR-CONDITIONED HALL
The main hall of the bus stand is air-conditioned providing travelers with a much-needed respite from the heat. There is more than ample seating available as well. The pillars of the hall are artistically done, depicting famous monuments of the city.
AMPLE PARKING SPACE
There is a separate parking for automobiles and two-wheelers outside. There’s also underground parking available.
UPGRADED TECHNOLOGY
Gone is the old chalkboard with the bus schedules on it. The main hall has LED television sets installed that constantly display the bus schedules. There is also a fully automated PA system in place.
PREMIUM WAITING AREA
The bus stand has a separate waiting area for those who are traveling via air-conditioned buses. This Volvo waiting room is equipped with LED television sets and sofas for a comfortable waiting period.
IN THE PIPELINE – SHOPPING ARCADE
There is also a separate area designated for shopping and refreshments. While the shops are yet to be allotted, there will be a pharmacy, a convenience store and even a gift and novelty items store.
