We all know of khasta jalebi shops in Chowk that are immensely popular, but not everyone has heard of Bakse Wali Khastas, available only in old Lucknow, in the early morning hours.
WHAT
Bakse wali khasta is simply crispy khasta sold in trunks by vendors along with a spicy, dry aloo ki sabzi. These vendors set shop (or trunks) in morning, around 7 am. Within a couple of hours, the khastas are all sold out! By 9 am, there isn’t a sign of the vendors or the khastas! So if you can make it there in the early morning hours, you may be able to try the khasta, and find out just why they so popular!
